YOUR TUTOR. YOUR COURSE CREATOR.

Hi, I’m Mr. Volak.

I failed my first calculus test. Calculus began to click when I could see what a derivative or an integral actually meant. I kept studying and went on to pass actuarial exams.

That experience shaped how I teach. I now work directly with AP Calculus AB and BC students, and I created the animated explanations and interactive simulations in the self-paced course included with tutoring. We make difficult ideas visible, work through problems together, and build understanding through focused practice.

SUPPORT THAT CONNECTS THE DOTS

A lesson is the start.
Practice makes it stick.

01

Start where they're stuck.

Bring a difficult topic or a recent problem. We work out what needs attention, including the foundations behind it.

02

Work through it together.

Your student learns directly with me, asks questions, and works through problems during the online lesson.

03

Keep building between lessons.

Tutoring includes self-paced course access, animated explanations, simulations, and targeted practice for the topics we work on together.

SUPPORT THAT FITS YOUR STUDENT

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

A few practical answers.

Who are the lessons for?

This page is for families looking for AP Calculus AB or BC support. Students can also inquire directly. Taking another calculus course? Select “Other calculus course” and tell me what you're studying so I can confirm whether I can help.

How do pricing and booking work?

You can book a 60-minute lesson for US$70 directly. To discuss ongoing support or flexible options, tell me what support you need and, optionally, your budget. I’ll reply with the lesson length, price, included course access, and booking terms. Once we agree, I’ll send your booking and payment link. Sending an inquiry is free and does not book a lesson.

How does the first-lesson guarantee work?

If your first completed private lesson isn’t a good fit, email me within 48 hours after the lesson for a full refund of that lesson fee. The guarantee applies once per new student. It covers satisfaction with the first lesson; it does not promise a particular grade or exam score.

Is weekly group Q&A available now?

I’m collecting interest separately for AP Calculus AB and BC. Price, schedule, and group size will be confirmed before any booking. Choose group Q&A on the form if you’d like me to contact you with the details. You do not have to commit or pay to register interest.

Can we start if my student is already struggling?

Tell me which topics or assignments are causing trouble. That gives us a starting point for our first lesson and helps us identify the skills to work on next.

Do we need to take an assessment first?

No. You can send an inquiry without completing a readiness quiz or creating an account. A recent problem or a topic your student finds difficult is a useful starting point.

What times are available?

Availability is arranged by email. You can include your time zone and preferred days in the optional message, and I'll confirm which times work.

LET'S FIND THE NEXT STEP

Let’s find your
next step.

Tell me the course and what support you’re considering. Your hourly budget is optional. Choose group Q&A to register interest in a lower-cost option.

What happens next?

For private tutoring, I’ll reply with a recommendation and a specific quote. Once we agree, I’ll send a booking and payment link. For group Q&A, I’ll contact you when the price and schedule are ready. No payment or booking is required to send this form.

No account or payment details needed.

Standard private rate: US$70/hour. This helps us discuss a workable option. Group Q&A pricing will be announced separately.

I'll use your details to reply about your tutoring or group Q&A inquiry. How your information is used.

No payment now · Quote or group details confirmed by email

How your inquiry information is used

Your name, email, course, support preference, optional budget, and optional message are used to respond to your tutoring request. They are stored in Mr. Volak's tutoring records using Supabase, and an inquiry notification is sent to Mr. Volak using Resend. Your form answers are not sent to advertising analytics.

Campaign parameters, when present, are saved with your inquiry to understand which ads lead to tutoring requests. Basic page and button activity is measured through Vercel Analytics. An IP-derived hash is used to limit repeated form submissions; the form does not save your raw IP address in the tutoring record. Videos load through Vimeo when you press play; their preview images are served by Vimeo.

Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. For questions about your inquiry information or to request its deletion, email volak@mrvolak.com.
